Meet the Principal

My name is Dan Bickham, and I am honored to be the Principal of Douglas J. Miller Elementary School. We are proud to serve 1,200 students ranging from Pre-K - 6th Grade. From our staff, to our students, and our community, MILLER IS FAMILY!

I have served as the Principal of Miller since the 2015-2016 school year. I began teaching in 1998, teaching both 4th and 6th grade. In 2006, I began my journey as an Assistant Principal and served Buena Vista, Reagan, Panama, and Berkshire. Just before arriving at Miller, I was the Vice Principal at Actis Junior High (2009-2015). I was also the Interim Principal at Old River Elementary for the first semester of the 2014-2015 school year.

We are a P-BVUSD family. My daughters attended K-8 in P-BVUSD. Currently, my wife and oldest daughter teach first grade in the district. My youngest daughter will hopefully be teaching in the district in the 24/25 school year. Thank you for taking time to learn about Douglas J. Miller Elementary and myself.
